Haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis services, consumables and equipment in the GCC and India: ESRD burden, market size, PPP and outsourcing models, consumable economics, key players (Fresenius, Baxter, B. Braun, DaVita, NephroPlus, Diaverum) and procurement implications.
Dialysis is one of the fastest-growing service lines in the GCC and India because of the diabetes and hypertension burden. Published estimates for 2025 range from USD 99.5 bn to USD 126 bn depending on geography and whether services, consumables and equipment are combined; our central estimate is USD 115 bn, growing at about 6% to USD 167 bn by 2032.
The GCC has among the highest ESRD incidence rates globally and is outsourcing dialysis provision through PPPs and private chains (DaVita, Diaverum, Fresenius NephroCare, local groups); India’s dialysis is expanding through PM-NDP public programmes, hospital chains and specialist operators (NephroPlus, Apex Kidney Care, DaVita India). Cost per session is driven by dialysers, bloodlines, dialysate, ESAs and IV iron — all contractable.
The chart shows the Consulting Wallah central estimate: published figures normalised to 2025, median taken, and projected at the median published growth rate. The published range for 2025 is USD 99.5 bn–USD 126 bn; differences are mostly scope.

Saudi Arabia contracts dialysis through the clusters and PPPs; UAE providers (SEHA/PureHealth, Mediclinic, NMC, Burjeel, American Hospital, Diaverum, DaVita) serve insurer-covered patients; home dialysis is growing under DoH/DHA licensing.
PM-NDP (Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme) under PPP provides free dialysis in district hospitals; NephroPlus is one of the largest networks in Asia; hospital chains run captive units; consumable costs are the competitive battleground.

How to read these figures. Published market-size estimates for this market vary widely because publishers define scope differently (software only vs software + services + logistics). Where we show a Consulting Wallah estimate we state the range of published figures it is triangulated from and our scope. Figures marked as reported are quoted from the named source.
